On days like this... everyone should keep their opinions to themselves.

Because on days like this... I am a little more irritated than normal.

On days like this... it is best if I am left alone.

Because on days like this... I am exhausted from dealing with stupidity.

On days like this... I'm likely to lose my cool & let the world know what I really think.

Because on days like this... I've just had enough!

Reflection

I am almost a full month into my 40th year of life and I have found myself reflecting on the past a lot more lately than I normally do. A few of things that seem to be on my mind are things that I have no control over.

My uncle who has had a very rough year seems to have hit a plateau with his medical issues. Hopefully he will resume his progress forward and not have any major set backs. When I think back over the past year I am so thankful that he is still here with us. He has beaten many odds not only in the last year but in his entire lifetime. I treasure every moment with him.

Always on my mind is my Grandpa John who turned 93 this year. Every year around the holidays we wonder if it will be his last... and then he goes on to the next year. We are so lucky to have him around with his infinite wisdom, his corny jokes, and his never ending stories. It saddens me to think of the day that he will no longer be with us but for now I will just continue to enjoy everyday that is here.

With winter approaching I find myself dreading the snow. Even the smallest of flurries makes me nervous. I think to myself that I just cannot make it through another winter here... Then I think back to when I was growing up in Wyoming and the kind of winters we had there. The cold, the wind, and the snow! We haven't seen anything close to a Wyoming winter here in Utah in over 20 yrs so I suppose I will suck it up and be thankful for that.

A good friend of mine has said that blogging is thereputic... I think he is right.
